First the website, a bike rental in August
The Warsaw bike rental system Veturilo has its website – www.veturilo.waw.pl. With the use of the service you can complete all the preliminary formalities connected with registration and fees even before the system starts to operate. A social campaign that informs residents about the possibilities of using such ecological and healthy mode of transport “has been launched”. Łukasz Garlicki- a Warsaw actor of the young generation and a keen cyclist has become the face of the campaign.
It will be possible to use 57 Veturilo stations since August. They will appear in the city centre, in Bielany, Ursynów and Wilanów. A modern website with a user-friendly interface was launched two weeks earlier so that future users could read the regulations, sign up and pay necessary fees. It’s worth mentioning that the users of Bemowo Bike do not have to register in the system, as its bike rentals are fully compatible with Veturilo.
Using the system will be as easy as riding a single-track vehicle. After entering the website it is necessary to provide all required data – including a phone number, accept the regulations and pay small entry fee in the amount of 10 zlotys (PLN). After receiving the confirmation and 6-digit PIN via given e-mail– it will be possible to start a ride with Veturilo since August. It is necessary to remember the PIN number which together the phone number will be at the beginning a customer identification number. It will be possible to activate Warszawska Karta Miejska (Warsaw City Card) in the terminal before renting a bike, which can also be treated as an identifier.
The www.veturilo.waw.pl website is still in a tasting phase so we kindly ask all the users to send their comments till the end of July to veturilo@ztm.waw.pl.
On 16th of July a campaign promoting the rentals run on behalf of ZTM began. There are posters in buses, trams and metro. The advertisements also appeared in the offices of the following districts Bielany, Śródmieście, Ursynów and Wilanów and on a few stops. By the end of July and at the beginning of August it will be possible to see a spot promoting Veturilo on the screens in metro, trams and buses and on ZTM and Veturilo websites, together with another batch of leaflets– with tariff.

I like travelling around the city by bike, as it gives me much independence. I cycle when I want to get on the set, to my friends or family. I have been cycling since my childhood and now I am going to cycle with Veturilo which is an interesting alternative for other means of transport. I am sure that this is the best way to travel around the congested capital. Follow in my footsteps |
