The end of the year is coming. Therefore, it is worth take to care of the eldest family members – grandfathers, grandmothers or parents. ZTM has a special offer for them – Senior Personal Pass. It costs only PLN 40 and entitles the holder to an unlimited number of trips during the entire year.
It can be purchased in all sales points and ticket vending machines and one does not need to show any documents confirming the age while purchasing.
The Senior Personal Pass, coded on the personalized Warsaw City Card, can be used by a passenger who is over 65. The personal ticket is valid in the first and second ticket zone and entitles the passenger to travel by any ZTM line – bus, tram, underground and SKM ones. The Senior Personal Pass holder can also travel in the zone of the Integrated Ticket validity – by trains of Koleje Mazowieckie (Masovian Railways) and Warszawska Kolej Dojazdowa (Warsaw Suburb Rail) as well as by local lines marked with an L letter.
Persons who have not had a personalized city card yet, can submit an application for the issue of a card in ZTM Passenger Service Centers as well as via the Internet.
A purchased ticket should be activated immediately upon entering a vehicle and, in the case of the underground, prior to entering the platform the ticket should be activated in a ticket vending machine next to a lift. One needs to have a document confirming the age during a ticket inspection.
A ticket is valid 365 days from the activation day (until 11.59 p.m. of last day of validity). In the case of ticket purchase via the Internet, it should be immediately coded onto the Warsaw City Card with special devices located at the underground stations or in ZTM Passenger Service Centers and then activated at a gate or in a ticket vending machine.
According to the ZTM regulations, passengers who are over 70 are entitled to travel free of charge only based on a document confirming their age.
