The WLE tram began its rides – ZTM Warszawa

The WLE tram began its rides

The 3rd edition of a social campaign “Warsaw Education Line” has been opened.

WLE is an education project addressed to the pupils of primary schools. This year the tram has a new attractive route, and every passenger of the WLE tram obtains first aid kit.

This is a third edition of the Warsaw Education Line. The campaign is very popular among school children – in the two previous editions over 3 thousand children took part in the classes. The organizers received many thank you letters from the pupils and teachers who participated in the WLE classes. So, we believe that the safe travelling education campaign for the young pupils was a great idea.

During the ride, the children learn about the rules of safe travelling needed among others, when getting on and off a vehicle. They also learn the consequences for damages and proper reactions to the situations that endanger life and health in public transport vehicles.

The hands-on activities in the modern tram are held by TW Traffic Supervision officers and police officers from the Warsaw Police Headquarters. The Life Guards from Warszawska Grupa Wysokościowa s12 (The Warsaw Rescue Team (WGW s12)) demonstrated how the first aid should be given.

This year each student receives a first aid kit (a disposable oral airway and a pair of disposable gloves) and a visitor’s ticket. As each year, children also receive high visibility jackets, puzzles with pencils and a special folder prepared by ZTM.

The organizers of the campaign are: The Warsaw Tramway, the Public Transport Authority, The Warsaw Police Headquarters, the Warsaw Rescue Team S12.

The applications for the education trip should be sent to: wle@tw.waw.pl
