Another Warsaw Tourist Lines season is closed. It was the best season concerning the number of passengers who used the attractions provided by the Public Transport Authority. This year it was 78 thousand people- 11 per cent more than in the previous year.
Apart from the interesting offers (ships, ferries and a horse-drawn stagecoach), also good weather influenced such a high number of passengers. This year, most of the scheduled courses have been completed without greater problems (4682).
As usual, the free ferries sailing between the two banks of the Vistula near Nowodwory, Podzamcze and Cypel Czerniakowski were the most popular. 57 050 passengers took the opportunity to sail on “Pliszka”, “Słonka” and “Truskawka” across the river.
14 241 passengers went on a voyage on the “Wars” water tram where they could admire the beautiful view of the capital city from the deck.
Cruises to Serock were also popular. 4 179 passengers went on a voyage across picturesque Zalew Zegrzyński on the deck of “Zefir”.
2 640 people chose a horse-drawn stagecoach ride.
